Hands-on course for young surgeons and urologists, who are specializing in transplant surgery and want to learn practical skills in transplant
+ to increase knowledge of relevant aspects and techniques in organ transplantation and
   procurement
+ to exchange scientific interests and develop a network between participants for future
   cooperation

Participants
young surgeons and urologists from Europeans transplant-centres
+ who start their career in transplant surgery
+ who want to work experimental with pigs
+ minimum 9 – maximum 15 participants

+ Knotting techniques
+ Suture techniques
+ vascular access
+ bilioenteric anastomosis
+ porto-caval anastomosis
+ living donor nephrectomy
+ renal transplantation
+ living donor nephrectomy
+ renal transplantation
+ multi-organ procurement, incl. donor
   hepatectomy
+ recipient hepatectomy
+ veno-venous and extraanatomical bypass of v.cava and portal vein
+ renal transplantation
+ multi-organ procurement, incl. donor hepatectomy
+ recipient hepatectomy and liver transplantation

The course  venue is in the south of Berlin. A taxi shuttle (Taxi request form) from Berlin -Airport Tegel / Schönefeld and from Berlin - Central station will be organized and takes approximately 75  minutes.
